Beautiful Wet and Cold Day - the start of Spring

Thank you to Stephen and Lizzie Bourke for being led by their youngest son Ailbe, so he can pursue (instead of keeping up with school work) the stage, the boards, acting and theatre.

When advised Legally Blond was on at the Playhouse for a two week season, the Bikeriders selected the closing Saturday show on 8th Sept 2019 for the entertainment.

Tickets were booked, and instead of trying to sort out a pre-show commercial venue for food and refreshments, Kimber put up the idea of 'curries at home from later afternoon'.

And so it was.

One of the two curries.   Easy to make, only a few spices, and in the slow cooker, get it going by 1pm and she's ready to feed, with mash potato, at 6pm

Peta and Lulu getting to know each other. "Will you be eating all your duck?" Said Lulu. "No" said Peta. "Why do you ask?" - then they walked hand in hand down to the edge of the garden and the friendship was cemented in love, and food...

Miles, Jeff, Toni, Christine, Annabel, Sarah and Justin. Thank you for Sarah for keeping the menu on the straight and narrow.
The Lark Ascending, with Porter "the Bag Man", and Peta
 In depth
Toni, Christine and Annabel enjoying the pinot noir.
Sarah and Justin. Justin is a particular fan of the dance band musical theatre genre, and uses techniques engaged by the actors in his capacity as State Coach of the Rugby team, about to perform on the broader stage, in the Adelaide annual interstate tests.
Daughter and Father - what could go wrong?
"Come on now sonny Stephen, what was that joke: ohh yes: "When you visit the proctologist, what do you not want to see on your shoulders? - "Both hands".

In the bowels of the theatre, the Reverend Simmons re-incarnate, with Kimber from Checkpoint Charlie, and the proud father, wondering what his son will do with that big UPC 'package' later in the evening....

And so, replenished in spirit, theatre, food and wine, the Bikeriders have had a very large week this week, with the GFC lunch on Wednesday at Seachange, and then Legally Blond on Saturday - the Sunday bike ride has become "Coffee at Lola's".

Keep up....
